MISSIONS
In Mark 16:15-16 and Matthew 28:19-20, we find some of the final words Christ spoke to his Apostles. We call this The Great Commission, and we believe it was given to the church for all time. In Matthew 28:19-20, He stated:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the
end of the world. Amen.
NIGERIA WORK
For several years, we have supported Brother Felix Ehigiator in Nigeria. He is located in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria and works with that local church.
This congregation hosted the Edo State Gospel Meeting on December 13-14, 2024.
PHILIPPINE WORK
In July 2023, we were introduced to Brother Jun Fuentes. He started his work in the Philippines shortly after retiring from the US Navy. He started Heritage Bible College (HBC) in Baguio City, Philippines in August 2018 as the first step of his plan to build up the church in the Philippines. HBC is a two year, intensive program, and its mission is to train new preachers and leaders to work in God’s vineyard in the Philippines.
Separate from HBC, Jun and the students work to strengthen existing congregations through several different efforts listed below:
We started supporting Brother Fuentes and HBC in August 2023. In July 2024, our Elders agreed to take on the oversight of this work. This is a very prosperous work for the Lord in the Philippines, and we are excited to be able to support such a work in any way possible.
This video is from our last visit from Brother Fuentes in June 2024. This will provide a more detailed update regarding all of the efforts being made by Brother Fuentes and the HBC students and Alumni on an ongoing basis.
We are certain all of these works are a blessing to those who are being taught and to the overall cause of making Christ known to all. We are constantly seeking other opportunities to fulfill the Lord’s command to teach – both locally and abroad. We pray that these works will be blessed with growth in number and in knowledge of God’s Word.
